With reference to the above diagram. The cloud software makes use of two types of control areas
-
A Facentrance is an area with one or more entrances but there is a face reader monitoring people entering and not exiting the area. If you consider the Facentrace called “callcenter” it has one face reader (“fed1a”) which is used to open the door when someone enters . Exiting the area would be done via a push button or some other conventional mechanism.
-
A Zone is an area with one or more entrances and monitors people both entering and exiting. Zone 1 has 3 entrances and a total of 6 face reading devices. A person entering Zone 1 may do so by scanning their face at any of the devices z1d1a, z1d2a and z1d3a. Similarly, to exit the area they would scan their face at any of the devices z1d1b, z1d2b and z1d3b. The time that the person is “in” the Zone is recorded for time and attendance and contact tracing purposes. In the event of “tailgating” the system will fallback on the “maximum allowed time” that a person can be in that area.
Zones can be used for time and attendance as well as content tracing because both the entry and exit time of a person is recorded. Facentrance’s although more cost effective, make use of the concept of a “maximum allowed time” which is by default 8 hours (but can be changed via the portal) to estimate the length of time a person could be in an area.
